LOuisiana Bayou Boathouse
This is a photo I took of our family’s boathouse on Lake Bistineau, Louisiana. The sun was almost set. The camera captured the beautiful reflection of the clouds and the setting sun on the water.

Founder & CEO of Lehigh Valley Films.
Being an independent filmmaker involves wearing many hats. You have to have an attitude of “yes, I can do that!”, no matter how small the job. I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked to do one job for a film, and end up doing something completely different, because the director needed me in that role.
Photography & illustration became stepping stones to filmmaking, editing & composing. Being willing to learn and do, is a good thing.
Split Personality
Split Personality, by Rek Anthony.
I took this photo across the street from my college campus.
The tree split, and fell during a storm, but its fractured trunk reveals life, thriving from the tree’s death. This image seems so beautiful to me, with its vibrant green vines, and an insect’s nest, covered by a veil of water droplets.
Cut Through Stone. By Rek Anthony
It amazes me how you can find beauty in anything, if you look close enough.
I love the texture shown in the cur reeds. There is a small stone peeking through the upper left corner.

Liberty Blastoff
Liberty Blastoff, by Rek Anthony.
Here is an example of image blending.
I took one of my old photos of the Liberty Bell, and a night shot of New York City as I was coming into port on a cruise ship. I created the effect of flames shooting out of the bell, from a photo of the ship’s wake. I then, added clouds from another photo I took, and created flames throughout the city.
The Liberty Bell takes off like a rocket, to signify our vanishing American rights.
Misty Morning. By Rek Anthony
I captured this image one morning, while stopped at a traffic light. I just happened to have my camera with me, so it was by pure luck, that I was able to snap this photo.
I love the way fog completely hides the background.

Art & Illustration
In addition to photography, I enjoy creating illustrations. One of my college projects was to take words, and turn them into illustrations. I have included a couple of those projects in this gallery, because I think it is a great idea for a children’s book.
As a small business owner, I have always had to create my own marketing materials. I have included a mockup illustration I made for a restaurant in Canada, that serves a dish called “Crispy Ginger Beef”. You can’t get that dish anywhere in America, which is a shame, because it is absolutely fabulous!
Kite
I created this illustration of the word “Kite”, which resembles a dad, with a boy, and a little girl, who is jumping excitedly as the kite flies through the air.
Skunk
I illustrated the word “Skunk” by turning the body of an image of a skunk, into the word.
Sailboat
I really enjoyed creating this illustration of a sailboat. Until I went to college as an adult, I had no idea I could even do these kinds of illustrations.
I have never considered myself to be a great artist. I just enjoy creating. I often surprise myself how simple projects turn out. Most of the time, I just let ideas evolve in any direction they lead me. Sometimes, that can be frustrating, because I often don’t know when to stop. I suppose that issue applies to most artistic people. You just have to tell yourself to let go, otherwise, you will drive yourself mad!
Fire Roses
Light painting has always fascinated me. I created this image of roses, with a laser pointer. I added another painting of the word “Love” in the lower left corner.
CRuising in the sun
This is another one of my first college illustrations. The scope of the assignment was simplicity.
Crispy Ginger Beef
This is just a simple mockup I made for one of my favorite restaurants. Just ask anyone from Calgary Canada about this dish. I actually have the original recipe for Crispy Ginger Beef. Shhh, it’s a secret!
